Croydon College Group brings together Croydon College, Coulsdon Sixth Form College, and the Croydon University Centre to provide a wide range of education and training opportunities for learners of all ages.

Croydon College has a rich history dating back to 1868 when the Croydon School of Art was established, followed by the founding of Pitlake Technical Institute (later Croydon Polytechnic) in 1888. These institutions merged and evolved into Croydon Technical College, opening at Fairfield in 1955 and formally inaugurated by the Queen in 1960. In 1974, it became Croydon College.

Coulsdon Sixth Form College was formed in 1988 on the site of the former Purley High School for Boys and joined Croydon College in 2019. While they now operate as one legal entity, both campuses retain their own identities and specialise in different pathways: Croydon College offers vocational and academic courses from entry level to degree level, and Coulsdon Sixth Form College focuses on academic pathways for 16–18-year-olds.

The Croydon University Centre provides degree-level study and higher education opportunities across a wide range of subjects, enhancing progression from college to university.

Together as Croydon College Group, the colleges serve thousands of students, delivering high-quality education, apprenticeships, and work-based training, while working closely with employers to meet local and regional skills needs.
